I’m just putting the finishing touches on Junction right now, and will be moving on to testing very soon (probably by Friday). If you would be interested in giving it a test-run, please leave a comment here (leave your email in the email section, don’t publish it in your comment).
I’d love to gather as much feedback […]

Christian over at Cozmozlabs.com has written ten tips for building a theme around Thematic. It’s a good list for beginners, but nothing overly indepth. I’d love to see (or write) a really indepth tutorial some day, but time is just not on my side. Check out his article in the meantime!

Just saw a very cool looking theme based on Thematic. Check out Cozmoslabs.com to see another example of the power of child themes.
I’ve finally posted the re-design for my blog. I’m still tentitively calling the theme Junction. Junction is based on the Thematic Frame Work by Ian Stewart. I still have a few things to do like style the footer, blockquotes, and make a few other tweaks here and there, but overall I am really, really happy […]

I know, this isn’t the first time you’ve seen me start this whole thing over. Really, I am not starting over at all. I just felt that I needed to take my “theme in progress” down for a while until it was closer to being ready for launch. I learned a very valuable lesson though: […]

He asked me to design a WordPress powered website where he could share information about his company, update samples of his work, and keep a blog focused on […]

Just a quick tip for those designing around the Thematic Framework. If you are wanting a 3 column format, you need to add this to your child theme’s style.css file:
#secondary {
clear: none; }
Also, if you are using the aside category code, you must add “width: 450px;” to “body.home div.category-asides.”
I hope that helps!

Just had to go ahead with some ideas. Let me know what you think of the header (I still have to work on the typography and such, but tell me what you think of the red banner).
